Welcome to Resolute Place

Discreet Recovery for Working Professionals

Resolute Place is dedicated to providing a secure and supportive environment for working professionals seeking to overcome alcohol and drug addiction. Our specialized home offers a discreet setting where individuals can focus on their recovery while maintaining their careers. We prioritize your well-being and professional success.

Discreet recovery without compromising your career.

“Twenty-nine years ago, I was a high-functioning alcoholic. On the surface, I had everything: a loving wife, a successful career, patents, kids, a home, and cars. But addiction doesn’t care about appearances—it quietly erodes everything beneath the surface.

My well-meaning wife, desperate to save me, pushed me into rehab. Rehab helped me stop drinking, but the way I went through it cost me dearly. By the time I came out, I had lost it all—my marriage, my career, and my home. At 43, I had to rebuild my life from nothing. Staying sober wasn’t easy.

That experience is why I founded Resolute Place. No one should have to lose everything to get sober. I believe you can break free from addiction and keep the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

At Resolute Place, we focus on helping you overcome addiction while preserving the relationships, career, and stability that matter most. Together, we can leave addiction behind and build a brighter future—one you don’t have to start over to enjoy.”

To the wives

If you’re watching the man you love struggle with alcohol and drugs, know this: it’s not a lack of willpower or weak character. Alcoholism is a disease—progressive and destructive—not just to the person suffering, but to those who love them. It can take everything if left untreated. At Resolute Place, we help men begin recovery without losing the life they’ve worked so hard to build. If your husband is willing to take that first step, we’re here to help. Sometimes the most loving thing you can do is speak the truth—and offer him a way forward.

Living Sober

"When I got sober, the idea of living without alcohol felt unimaginable. Questions flooded my mind: How was I going to live without drinking? How would I get along with the people in my life—or do my work—without it? How could I face life without alcohol? Would anything be fun? What would be the point of living if I couldn't drink? All my friends drink—what would they think?

These thoughts swirled through my head on the first day of sobriety—jagged, scary, looping, and unbearably heavy. I couldn’t think straight. I was angry at everything. It wasn’t fun. It wasn’t easy. It was a battle. But now, looking back, I know it was worth every second. I’m proud of myself—and my family is proud of me—for standing up and choosing change.

Today, I live a drug- and alcohol-free life—and have for many years. The thought of having a drink or taking a drug never even crosses my mind. I still face problems and challenges, but I handle them sober and with a clear mind. And they’re nowhere near as hard to deal with as they were when I was drinking.

Now, I’m present for the people in my life. My children admire me. I play competitive sports at a national level—well into my seventies.

Sobriety didn’t take life away from me. It gave me a fuller life than I could ever have imagined."
